SILESIAN TOURIST ORGANISATION – LIGHTED BACKDROP AS AN ALTERNATIVE FOR MDF WALLS

SILESIAN TOURIST ORGANISATION – LIGHTED BACKDROP AS AN ALTERNATIVE FOR MDF WALLS

More and more frequently massive graphic prints are used at exhibition stands. They give many options to the designers but they have limitations, too. Most decorative are massive displays visible from a distance. It is best when they are backlit to give us an effect of a brightwall, infallibly attracting the attention of visitors.

Until recently the exhibitor had to choose either of the two options: backlit wall made of plexiglass or glass but divided into several parts. This is because of size limitations of plexiglass boards and their weight), or MDF wall without divisions but lighted from outside with additional focus and spot lights.

A few years ago a new technology was implemented combining the benefits of both: elastic fabric backdrop prints with back lit solutions, at last it has become possible to produce massive, backlit walls, undivided by any construction elements. Soon enough a question appeared: and how about arched areas? Will fabric prove to be good for such solutions?

The answer to this question has been given by designer Renata Karpeta through the stand designed for the Silesian Tourist Organization. The project’s goal was to achieve a wavy construction resembling the logo of the Silesian Tourist Organization.

An interesting shape and an impression of a vast lighted surface – this production undoubtedly sets this display apart from other. In addition, the stand is light, easy to install and dismantle and fuss-free to transport, it enables a multiple use of the same setup.
